N7 Creamery is an authentic promise of quality. Our commitment to you and to food is three-fold: our product is always made in-house, it is created daily to ensure optimal freshness, and is composed of responsibly sourced ingredients from partners that are dedicated to ethical business and wholesome farming practices. We never stray from this standard of excellence and firmly believe anyone doing food, should be held to these same standards as well.

When we started this enterprise, we had to decide the best method to begin spreading this message. We chose to begin simply, and cater to the epicurean side of human nature that cries out for a comfortable place, friendly people, and delicious treats to pass the time. We turned our attention to our favorite things; coffee, science, Pate Brisse, and finding new ways to feature awesome local ingredients. N7, creamery, cafe, and bakery was born.

Ice cream was the first step. Our goal was to show people, though a familiar American classic, that REAL food can stand for itself, which is why our ice cream base only has four ingredients: milk, eggs, cream, and sugar. So many companies make their ice cream chock-full of unpronounceable additives ranging from artificial flavorings to chemical preservatives, and excessive amounts of sugar to force your brain to taste what they want you to taste. Not N7.  As far as flavors go, everything is created based on local seasonal availability, the idea being that the delicious produce that so many farmers in our community put so much effort into will shine through and show people REAL food is good food. The other essential component is liquid nitrogen, a completely natural element that is found everywhere on earth. It's difficult work balancing fresh locally sourced ingredients and the inherently limited shelf life of our product, and it's only through flash freezing with nitrogen that this is possible. As the cornerstone of our company, our ice cream is guaranteed to be the freshest, most premium ice cream available anywhere in the country.

Next, was the coffee. As Americans have started developing a palate for this life-changing beverage, we realized that the only way to uphold the standard of quality we wanted was to partner with someone who was as obsessively passionate about direct-trade, specialty coffee as we were. We chose Stumptown Coffee Roasters because they started with the goal of doing things differently. 

We source the best coffees in the world and strive to maintain transparent, quality-based relationships with our farmers along the way. From plant to portafilter, we pay homage to these folks through our own fervent attention to detail at every step, quality control in our cupping labs, meticulous roasting profiles and extensive barista education.

We're on the same page, from a meticulous hiring process that weeds out those less passionate to an extensive constantly evolving training program, our baristas are here to help you bridge the gap between just getting a jolt of caffeine to creating a culinary experience. How many things do you commit to in your life as zealously as that morning cup? And last but not remotely least, is the bakery. Running a bakery is a difficult task. There is very little reward for the work it takes to observe wholesome food practices when taking on the tasks of sourcing natural flour, adhering to consistency of quality, and baking absolutely everything fresh every day, but N7 believes it’s worth it. Our goals are similar to those for the ice cream: all natural, always fresh, always excellent. Everyone who works in our bakery is fanatically dedicated to the meticulous process of creating not just baked goods that are tasty, but that embody the philosophy that drives us: REAL food, made passionately by real people, will top anything else. They work difficult hours, scrabble to find the more wholesome ingredient, and fight against a barrage of contradictory advice from the baking world, all to bring you what we think a 'good' bakery entails. It’s the dedication and hard work of everyone making your food that constitutes the difference.

While the food is premium, it's the people involved that matter the most. When people prepare something, they infuse a little bit of themselves in the final product. The most important component to creating something incredible, is the heart of the person behind the process. We at N7 love what we do, from the farm, to our kitchen, to your hands, every step is very carefully planned and coordinated to make sure you leave feeling full not just of good wholesome food, but of the same love that we try to embody every day. N7 Creamery is about investing in your community, investing in your food, and investing in your relationship with both.
